Beauty By Yasi started in a way I never could have planned.

I’m Jahaira Angamarca, though most people know me as Yasi or Yasita. The nickname came from my little brother, who couldn’t quite say “Jahaira” when he was little and somehow, Yasi just stuck!

I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist since 2018, but becoming a lash artist and educator wasn’t originally part of the plan. I actually went to college for Forensic Investigation and took my first $700 lash course as a little side hustle. I walked away with a questionable “Advanced Volume” certificate, probably the worst lash kit imaginable , and absolutely no idea where that decision would eventually take me.

Then COVID happened, life shifted, and that little side hustle became something I genuinely loved.

What started behind the lash bed grew into Beauty By Yasi a brand created for lash artists who care about their craft and want products and education they can feel confident using. Today, I’m a lash artist, educator, and business owner offering professional lash products, Korean Lash Lift supplies, and education designed to support artists at every stage of their journey.

And that Forensic Investigation degree It’s framed in my lash room partly because I worked too hard for it to sit in a closet, but mostly because it reminds me that life doesn’t always go according to plan.

Sometimes, the path you never expected becomes the one you were meant to take.
