Hey, I’m Jahaira Angamarca — but most people know me as Yasi or Yasita! My nickname actually came from my little brother who couldn’t quite say “Jahaira,” so Yasi just stuck, and it’s been with me ever since.

I’ve been a licensed cosmetologist since 2017, fresh out of high school with no clue what direction I was really heading in. I went straight to college to pursue a bachelor’s in Forensic Investigation, thinking that was my path. But in the middle of my college journey, I ended up taking a $700 lash course as a side hustle — it came with a so-called “advanced volume” certificate and the worst lash kit imaginable.

Then COVID hit. Like a lot of people, it flipped my world upside down. My passion for forensics faded, but something unexpected happened — my lash business started blooming. Within two years, it grew into something real, something I loved.

Now, what was once my backup plan has become my full-time dream, and that college degree? It's framed and hanging in my lash room as a reminder that life can take you exactly where you’re meant to be.
